Jurisprudential treatise on Ottoman property and land law, Ahkamü'l-Arazi, by Ebu Su'ud Efendi, dated 23 Rajab 1158H./21 August 1745
Ottoman Arabic and Turkish manuscript on paper (handwritten inscription reading "Kitâb al Ghinayât, Jalâl ad-Dîn as-Suyûtî"). Text in 8 parts, incomplete, on light paper, with a few yellow leaves, 38 folios, followed by another work in Turkish on questions of law in the form of questions and answers, 117 folios. 19 lines per page in black and red ink. First part: folioed from 1 to 37, with erased owners' stamps. Second part from 1 to 117, with a colophon dated in full. Bound in brown leather with paper pastedown (Accidents, restorations, wetness, stains, a few pages unbound, binding damaged, not collated).

Shaykh al-Islam Ebu Su'ud (Ebussuud) Efendi (1490-1574) was an Ottoman Hanafi jurist. He was a judge (qadi) in Istanbul from 1533 to 1537 and then the Shaykh al-Islam of the Ottoman Empire from 1545 to 1574.
