Commentary on the Shafiya, Sharh al-Shafiya, by Nizam al-Din al-Nisaburi, Ottoman, dated 1011H./1602-3 Ottoman Turkish manuscript on paper by Jamal al-Din 'Abd Allah b. Muhammad b. Ahmad al-Husaini al-Nisaburi al-Nuqrakar, which is a commentary on the al-Shafiya text by Ibn al-Hajib. Text in fine naskh script in black and red ink within red fillets. Double title page in gilt fillets. The beginning of the text is copied later by another hand. Colophon dated. Owner's mark dated 1157H./1744. Beautiful brown morocco binding with flap and cover, embossed with a gilt mandorla decorated with arabesques and floral motifs (worn and unbound).
