Persian poetry, Qajar Iran, late 19th century
Persian manuscript on paper, Zaynat al-Mada'ih, by Mirza Muhammad Sadiq, known as Humay Marzavi. 15 lines per page in one and two columns, text in black and red ink. Colophon unsigned and undated. Owner's mark in the name of Marcel Gilbert on the flyleaf. Bound in brown morocco with embossed decoration of mandorles and black pendants (Minor accidents, stains, wetness, wear, not collated).
