[LORRAINE] – Treaty concluded in Paris on 21 January 1718 in pursuance of the peace treaties of Baden, Ryswick and other preceding treaties concerning the affairs of Lorraine. Nancy, published by Jean-Baptiste Cusson, 1718, small 12mo, 102 pp., contemporary marbled full calf binding, spine with five raised bands, marbled edges, title label in red morocco. The end of the Ducal Lorraine. Through this rare treatise, Lorraine became part of France following the reign of Stanislas, the last Duke of Lorraine and Bar. Ex-libris of Nicolas-Joseph Lefèvre, Count of His Royal Highness Duke Leopold of Lorraine, who played a part in the treaty by conducting correspondence with the Lorraine commissioners at Lunéville.
