Description
PILLODS (Robert) – Images from the Gospels. Basel, Faunus Verlag, 1950, folio, with a preface and 56 plates, loose-leaf, in a slipcase. Preface by Pierre Emmanuel. A numbered copy on chiffon vellum from the Manœuvre paper mills (Doubs). The offset prints were produced by Gérard Vau and Sons in Mulhouse. Pillods was a painter from Franche-Comté, originally from Hérimoncourt in the Doubs (1908–1990). An article about him appeared in the 1997 edition of the *Société d’Emulation de Montbéliard*.
