A fine set of highly decorative engravings. – 6 watercolourised lithographs by Gosselin (56 x 73 cm image size), published in Paris by Maesani, framed (late 19th-century dark wooden frame): Friedland, 14 June 1807.– The Battle of Moscow, 7 September 1812.– Austerlitz, 2 December 1805.– The Burning of Moscow, 1812.– Napoleon surrounded by subjugated princes.– Wagram, 6 August 1809. – 3 English caricatures, etched on copper and coloured in watercolour (23 x 33.5 cm image size, a few small tears but no loss to the subject): ‘Spanish Emancipation, or an Effectual Mode of Getting Rid of Troublesome Neighbours’.– King Joey taking leave of his capital, i.e. Madrid, relieved of robbers.– Boney and Bayonne blowing a Spanish bubble. – 3 copper engravings by C. Silano after paintings relating to the French Revolution (35 x 48 cm, image size): The departure for Vienna of Princess Marie-Thérèse-Charlotte, daughter of King Louis XVI.– The final moments of King Louis XVI’s life.– The final execution of Madame Anne Élisabeth, sister of King Louis XVI. – 2 views depicting the funerals of Don Luis Daoíz and Don Pedro Velarde, drawn by J. Rivelles and engraved on copper by Blas Ametller and R. Esteve: View of the funeral triumphal carriage. – 3 copper engravings by H. Levêque depicting the Napoleonic campaigns (33.5 x 47.5 cm): The siege of Badajoz.– The battle of Victoria (wet prints).– The battle of Salamanca (wet print). – Full-length portrait of Javier de Castuños, drawn and lithographed by J. Vallejo (40.5 x 30 cm image size, gilded frame). – Full-length portrait of General Urrutia, drawn by Josef Martinez after a painting by Goya and engraved on copper by Blas Ametller (48 x 29 cm image size, gilded frame). – The original pencil drawing of the bookplate for Jose Luis Dotti Millet, produced by Jaime Coll Petit in March 1992, based on a model by Barye at the Petit Palais depicting Napoleon entering Granada (50 x 35.5 cm, image size). Beautiful imagery. The engravings have not been examined outside their frames. Pinholes and foxing, sometimes pronounced. A few chips or losses to the frames. Two broken glass panes.
