JONES (John Thomas) London, T. Egerton, 1818. . Account of the war in Spain and Portugal, and in the south of France, from 1808 to 1814 inclusive. In-8 (21 x 13 cm), grained calfskin, gilt decorative borders on the covers, ribbed spine with gilt decoration, red title label (contemporary binding). First edition. 4 folded lithographic maps, 2 of which are colour-enhanced. The work was translated into German in the same year, then into French the following year. Upper cover detached. Very slight foxing, tear in the white margin of one map. Provenance D. Ryder (handwritten note on the front endpaper). Bibliography Palau, 124805.
