LANGLOIS (Jean-Charles) Paris, Engelmann, n.d. A Picturesque and Military Journey through Spain. Folio (57 x 37 cm), caramel-coloured half-shagreen slipcase with flaps and corner pieces, title label in calfskin reused from an earlier binding on the front cover, plain, unmarked spine, covers preserved (modern binding). A fine collection in its first edition, published in 10 instalments containing 40 plates, including 10 drawn by Langlois and 7 by Langlois and Delamare, lithographed by Engelmann and printed on glued China paper. Each instalment opens with a text describing the plates. Title label rubbed; foxing on a few plates; cover of the seventh instalment torn at one corner.
