Paris, Imperial Printing Office, 1858–1869.
The Correspondence of Napoleon I, published by order of Emperor Napoleon III.
32 vols., large 4to (30.5 x 23.1 cm), aubergine half-shagreen, ribbed spine decorated with gilt motifs (crowned imperial eagles), clipped top (modern binding).

A letter from the Count of Laborde, pre-printed and completed by hand, has been bound at the front of the first volume, addressing the first seven volumes of the Correspondence to the MP Ségris, and then at the front of each of volumes 10 to 14.
Some slight foxing. Minimal scuffing or scratches to the bindings.
Provenance
Alexis Émile Ségris (letters addressing certain volumes to him; 1811–1880, Member of Parliament, Minister for Education, Minister of Finance).
Bibliography
Vicaire, VI, 30–31.
