Wellington in Spain and Ballesteros in Ceuta.
In-8 (21.3 x 15.7 cm), half-vellum Bradel binding with corners, plain spine, title running lengthwise, top trimmed (modern binding).
First edition of the Alicante speech delivered on 30 March 1813 by Juan Romero y Alpuente, then deputy for the region of Aragon, to the members of the Cortes Generales.
Romero y Alpuente criticises the appointment of General Wellington as commander-in-chief of the armies in Spain, and defends General Ballesteros, who was exiled to Ceuta after rebelling following this appointment.
Generally in good condition; the binding and title page are slightly stained.
