Memorable French campaigns in Egypt, Italy and Holland […]. 2 large folio volumes (52.8 x 35.5 cm), in brown half-shagreen, ribbed spine decorated with gilded motifs, untrimmed (binding from the second half of the 19th century). Illustrated with 42 plates of battles and portraits, engraved on copper after Carle Vernet and Swebach. Some foxing. First and last leaves of each volume discoloured. Provenance Maxime Du Camp (? gilded monogram-signature in the panels on the spines).
