EXTENSIVE COLLECTION OF SOLDIER FIGURINES FROM THE NAPOLEONIC ARMIES Comprising: 70 oval wooden boxes from Ernst HEINRICHSEN in Nuremberg, dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century. Each box contains between 10 and 20 painted pewter figures (mainly infantry and cavalry from the armies of Napoleon I). Some boxes are damaged; most retain their original straw lining. Included are two empty boxes, a rectangular box containing cavalry figures in pewter, a small collection comprising manufacturers’ manuals and advertising brochures, as well as letters and handwritten notes relating to this subject. Approximately 110 pieces, mainly from the Almirall Palou and del Prado firms. Made of pewter alloy, painted in natural colours; signs of wear, minor damage and missing parts H.
