Set of 9 original albumen prints.
A collection of 9 original photographic prints by various artists, some of whom are anonymous. All relate to ancient Egypt.
– HIRCHIPS (?). Porch of Philadelphis. [Gate of Ptolemy III, Karnak]. (22 x 16 cm), mounted on cardboard with a gold-coloured caption printed on the photograph. This photograph is reproduced in the book by Günther & Baumann, Egypt. Lichtdrucke Sammlung um 1890.
– ZANGAKI (George and Constantine). The Gate of Ptolemy III (26.7 x 21.2 cm), caption barely legible at the bottom of the print; on the reverse, traces of the backing board on which the photograph was mounted.
– ZANGAKI (George and Constantine). Philae, the Kiosk of Isis (21.4 x 26.8 cm), mounted on card; the caption is difficult to read at the bottom of the print.
– SEBAH (Pascal). Dendirah. Temple of the goddess Hathor (19.8 x 25.5 cm), caption and signature in white at the bottom of the print, very slight foxing.
– LÉKÉGIAN (G.). (Dendereh). Temple of the goddess Hathor (21.1 x 27.5 cm), caption and signature (very faint) in white at the bottom of the print, very slight creases.
– BONFILS (Félix). Temple of Jupiter at Baalbek in Syria (21 x 28.1 cm), traces of backing and mounting on the reverse, a 5 mm strip at the top very slightly faded. The print exists with a caption and signature in white at the bottom, which are absent here.
– Anonymous. Northern part of the hypostyle hall of the Ramesseum (20.7 x 26.8 cm), caption barely legible at the bottom of the print, traces of mounting on the reverse, small white spots on the print.
– Anonymous. Ramesseum, Luxor (21.5 x 26.4 cm), caption barely legible at the bottom of the print, slight creases.
– Anonymous. Karnak, the leaning column. Published by Schroeder & Cie, Zurich (21.1 x 26.9 cm), very small tear in the top left-hand corner.
