CURIE (Marie) Paris, Radium Institute, 17 October 1927. Certificate. Radium assay by radiation. 1 page, quarto (31.1 x 21.2 cm), partially printed and completed by hand.   The certificate bears the number 5. 240 and is completed by hand. It relates to a solid radium salt apparatus manufactured by the Société nouvelle du Radium, and its external radiation is equivalent to 8.99 milligrams of elemental radium. The document bears Marie Curie’s autograph signature. Framed item. It has been measured with a Geiger counter and is not radioactive. Paper slightly frayed.
