Portraits of Jacob and Johann Coler and a great many illustrations within the text, all wood-engraved.
The illustrations depict plants, animals, rural scenes and domestic life.
Johann Coler’s ‘Perpetual Calendar’ was first published in 1591.
Worn binding with a few small losses and a large, fairly light stain on the back cover; fastenings replaced. An ink stain affecting pages 591 to 604 (pages 591 to 595 are heavily stained) and the second half of the gutter; foxing, fragile paper, a few worn page corners.
