Folio (43.5 x 32.5 cm), in folios, printed cover with embossed design, decorated slipcase and box.   The fourth volume published by the Bibliophiles de l’Union française, and the first to be illustrated with colour etchings by Marc Chagall. The volume is adorned with 10 original colour etchings by Marc Chagall, with the plates placed separately from the text. Limited edition of 153 numbered copies, all signed in blue pencil by Félia Léal, Marc Chagall and Jean Paulhan; one of the 112 personalised copies on Arches vellum paper (no. 72 for Dr François Florence).
