Large 8vo (25 x 15.8 cm), Jansenist binding in elephant-skin morocco, ribbed spine, gilt head, red morocco linings and red moiré silk endpapers, covers and spine preserved, slipcase (Ad. Lavaux).   First edition. Not for general sale; only 150 numbered copies were printed on Dutch laid paper (no. 67). The subscriber’s name has been erased. Paul Claudel, who produced this edition at his own expense, distributed the copies to a select circle of friends. Spine slightly faded, otherwise a very fine copy.   Bibliography Talvart, 7A.
