[COLLECTIVE] The New Realists’ Suitcase. In-plano (variable dimensions), leather case (53 x 58 x 13.5 cm), label bearing the inscription ‘N. R.’, cardboard envelopes (publisher’s binding).   First edition of this monumental set of 11 multiples by New Realist artists: CÉSAR: Bronze thumb, signed, numbered E. A. and bearing the foundry’s stamp. ARMAN: ‘Colère de violon’, silkscreen print on Plexiglas with a Plexiglas plinth, signed and numbered E. A. Mimmo ROTELLA: collage and colour offset print, signed. Pierre RESTANY: colour silkscreen print, ‘mots décroisés’, signed and numbered E. A. Niki de SAINT PHALLE: colour photograph, signed and numbered E. A. François DUFRÊNE: felt-tip pen on colour lithograph, signed and dated ‘73’. Jacques VILLEGLÉ: collage and letterpress print, signed. Raymond HAINS: colour offset print, signed and numbered E. A. Gérard DESCHAMPS: iridescent stainless steel plate. CHRISTO: offset print, signed and numbered E. A. Daniel SPOERRI: collage of a trap table, signed and dated ‘73’ and numbered E. A.   Each multiple is enclosed in an envelope, with the exception of César’s bronze, and the entire collection is housed in a three-compartment case, accompanied by the catalogue of works. Limited edition of 600 copies.   The case is scuffed; there is a small label stuck to the leather near the fastening; the Niki de Saint Phalle envelope is partially peeling; and Spoerri’s collage has a tear caused by a spoon. 53 x 50 x 13 cm 53 x 50 x 13 cm
