In-8 (20.5 x 13.7 cm), sky-blue percaline Bradel binding, author’s name cold-stamped on the cover, plain spine bearing the title, author’s name and publisher’s name, trimmed edges, dust jacket retained (publisher’s binding).
First edition and first printing, with the letter ‘A’ and the Scribner seal on the copyright page and without any mention of the Nobel Prize on the dust jacket.
A masterpiece of American literature, the novel earned Hemingway the Pulitzer Prize in 1953 and the Nobel Prize in Literature the following year.
A rare first edition, first printing of Hemingway’s most famous work, in very fine condition.
The spine is slightly sun-faded.
