Description

SIMENON (Georges) Lakeville, 1954. Les Témoins. In-4 (28 x 21.6 cm), black plastic spiral binding, printed black cover, slipcase and case. First edition, mimeographed by the author, signed on the title page. Limited edition of 100 numbered copies (no. 34). The book was published by Presses de la Cité the following year. Enclosed are two photographs by Nick de Morgoli, silver-prints showing Simenon’s house in Lakeville, one of which features him. The latter bears the handwritten note in pencil: ‘Published in *Paris Match*, 19–23 May 1953’.
