In-8, hazelnut-coloured half-maroquin with corner caps, plain spine decorated lengthwise with a composition of maroquin panels and gilded interlacing, gilt head, illustrated front cover and spine (Flammarion-Vaillant). A lovely, richly decorated edition featuring 19 separate etchings and numerous colour illustrations enhanced with gold by Léon Lebègue. One of 70 copies containing three states of the etchings, including the ‘pure’ etching; this copy is NUMBERED ON JAPAN PAPER. In fine condition.
