Bilbao, Müller y Zavaleta, 1896. Large 8vo, fawn half-percaline in the Bradel style, smooth spine with gilt title. Covers intact. 226 pp. In Spanish. Corners rubbed; cover, title page and dedicatory epistle restored at the lower corner; soiling on the covers; pages browned, as is often the case; and soiling on the last printed leaf. A rare first edition of this treatise on bullfighting. According to Xavier de Cardaillac, it may even be ‘the clearest and most practical treatise ever published in the Castilian language. [...] The work—which may be difficult to obtain today—is notable for the fact that it is aimed at both the aficionado and the young bullfighter.
