A fine copy of this charming publication on Normandy, one of 20 non-commercial editions, comprising a series of 10 original colour lithographs, signed and numbered by Camille Hilaire. Metz, Robert Mouret et Papelier, 1976. Folio (400x560 mm) in loose sheets, in the publisher’s green cloth slipcase and matching outer slipcase. 91 pages of text and 10 original lithographs (37x53 cm) signed by Camille Hilaire. Some pages are slightly creased; the slipcase shows slight wear. A delightful journey through Normandy via a text by the writer Pierre Gascar (1916–1997), accompanied by luminous, verdant lithographs by the painter Camille HILAIRE (1916–2004). Limited edition of 240 copies, all signed by the artist, the author, the publisher and the bailiff responsible for numbering them; this is one of the 20 non-commercial copies on Arches vellum reserved as gifts from the publisher to his collaborators (H.C. 15). Five of the fifteen lithographs are missing (the five double-page ones). A fine copy.
