Large 12mo, untrimmed paperback, orange cover. IV – 246 pp. Very slight creasing to the spine, a 1.5 cm tear at the lower edge and a few micro-tears at the margins of the cover. First separate edition of this commentary by Anatole France on the works of Rabelais, originally published in the collected works in 1928. One of 100 numbered copies printed on Imperial Japan paper (no. 47), the only large-format edition announced. Very good condition.
