In-4, yellow percaline in Bradel binding, plain, unmarked spine; front cover adorned with a gilt title and a black-and-white illustration on silk thread, framed and embellished with an inlaid, cardboard-backed bow in the colours of Spain; red edges. Covers intact. VII – 59 pp., 8 colour plates in between the text mounted on serpentine paper, 4 black-and-white plates and 22 vignettes of the same in the text. Spine warped, some minor soiling or scuffing from handling, some discolouration on the edges. First edition of this art album devoted to bullfighting, illustrated with 8 colour plates in a serpentine layout, 4 black-and-white plates and 22 vignettes in black and white within the text. The illustrations are by the Spanish artist Manuel Antonin Luque de Soria, known as ‘Luque’ (1853–1924). Rare and in good condition.
