2 unnumbered folios and 36 plates.
Spine sun-faded, with two classification labels at the top and bottom; top cap partially missing; binding scuffed.
The atlas alone, in its first edition, containing 36 plates based on drawings by L. Rouyer and engraved on steel by M. Davesne: wheat, rye, oats and maize.
Gustave Heuzé (1816–1907), an agronomist, spent most of his life in Île-de-France: director of the Grandjouan farm, lecturer at the École nationale d’agriculture de Grignon and later at the Institut agronomique de Paris.
