Paris, Gallimard, 1929 and 1930. 2 tomes in 2 volumes, in-4 format, paperback, with two-colour printed covers. 273 and 246 pp. Spine of the volume ‘Rive Droite’ slightly browned; spine of the second volume slightly warped and a small blue stain at the bottom of the front cover, over the text. Margins slightly frayed, as is often the case. First edition of this memoir-novel set in the Belle Époque and intellectual Paris. Each volume is one of the 109 reprints in the Tellière quarto format, numbered on Lafuma-Navarre laid paper; amongst these is one of the 100 ‘C’ copies inscribed for the bibliophiles of the NRF (no. XXVIII for ‘Dr F C. Ecot’). Fine copies.
