A rare first edition of this dictionary dedicated to the master goldsmiths of Paris, containing over 800 reproduced hallmarks. The term ‘Paris’ here refers to Île-de-France in the broadest sense, including Chartres, Compiègne and Auxerre. Print run limited to 620 copies; this is one of the 600 numbered copies on laid paper (no. 22). Complete with its Errata and Addenda; the fifth and final volume in the series. The copy is in excellent condition, uncut and therefore never consulted. Essential for any collector of gold and silverware.
