Quarto, honey-coloured half-shagreen with corner pieces, ribbed spine, panels decorated with gilt fleurons, original front cover preserved.

First edition illustrated with numerous black-and-white and colour illustrations. One of 100 numbered copies on high-quality luxury paper, this one being no. 30, with a colour breakdown of the plates.
Eugène Fyot (1866–1937) settled in Dijon in 1899. From 1900 onwards, he took part in the work carried out by the Antiquities Commission of the Côte-d’Or department, where he successively became librarian-archivist (1914), vice-chairman and finally chairman in 1934.
