He was married to Nadine at the time. Lovers for eight years, they married shortly after Nadine’s death in 1895 and shortly before Dumas the Younger’s death. He offers him a box for *Les Demoiselles de St Cyr*, a ‘rather entertaining’ comedy by Alexandre Dumas. - Charlotte Régnier de La Brière, wife of L.D. Troussez (1788–1864). Actress. Autograph signed letter from Saint-Paul. 2 January 1842. 1 p. in-12. “I am no longer able to speak today. It will therefore be impossible for me to perform tomorrow.” Colette DUMAS, the eldest daughter Alexandrine-Henriette DUMAS, known as ‘Colette’, born in Paris in 1860 under the fictitious name of Lefébure, legitimised in 1864. Eldest daughter of Alexandre Dumas the Younger and Nadine Naryschkine. She married Maurice Lippmann (1844–1910) in 1880, the brother of Mme Arman de Caillavet, from whom she divorced in 1892. They had two children, Alexandre and Serge. She remarried Demetrios-Achille Matza in 1897.
