Another vellum print, very probably from the same series as our work, in the same format and distinguished by its dark, entirely gouache backgrounds, which are rather rare for Pierre-Joseph Redouté, recently came onto the market. It came from the collection of Princess Lilian de Réthy (1916-2002), second wife of Léopold III, and depicted a bouquet of roses and anemone (see anonymous sale; New York, Arader Galleries, 23 April 2022, no. 49, sold for $168,000).
