SWERTS, Jan (1820–1879), painter, and Godefroid Égide GUFFENS (1823–1901), painter. Autograph letter signed by both painters, Antwerp, 18 April 1865. Addressed to a ‘Most honoured master and dear friend’. After speaking at length about their mutual friend Otto, they continue: ‘… We were delighted to hear that all is well, and that your dear wife is well too; we still regret having been able to spend so little time with you in Weimar… etc… etc…”. 3 pages.
