[Mrs de TROBRIAND] Autograph letter signed ‘Mme Trobriand née Duparc’, sent from Paris on 7 February 1814 to ‘Mme Le Gac de Lansalut née De Kermabin’ at her residence on the Quai de Tréguier in Morlaix. A long letter (reflecting a difficult period) of three pages, beginning: ‘Monsieur de Villermaye immediately handed over the one hundred and twenty-three francs and 50 centimes to me, saying the most honourable things about your husband (…) I missed this morning’s post due to the arrival of our Breton ladies, who, since emigrating, had purchased properties in Champagne; the enemy was so close that they were forced to abandon their château. They are leaving Paris tomorrow without knowing where they will go—perhaps to C???
