Autograph letter (1p) signed on 7 Germinal, Year II, on letterhead printed with ‘Vive la Montagne, armée des côtes de Brest’.
It is addressed to the ‘administrators of the district of Port-Brieux ’ [Saint-Brieuc].
Order to ‘hand over to the commander of the 77th regiment, who will be passing through Port-Brieux on the 10th, the sum of 41 muskets (…)’. Handwritten reply on the reverse, signed ‘Louis, mayor’: ‘(…) the municipality declares that it has sent to Citizen Hazard all the serviceable weapons in its possession (…)’.
