Louis XV (1710–1774), King of France. Certificate (1p) on vellum dated 8 January 1743 at Versailles, signed (presumably) by a secretary and countersigned by the Secretary of State for War, Marc-Pierre de Voyer de Paulmy, Count of Argenson (1696–1764). ‘Appointment as cornet in Fargès’s newly raised company of light cavalry for Reboulet’s ?’. No seal, crease. A fine copy. Dimensions: 24 x 34 cm. Appraisal carried out by Pascal GUILLEBAUD. Lot from a voluntary sale.
