[First World War] Military album, in-8 format, dated 1917 (photo captions) featuring scenes from the Vosges and Alsace (snowy landscapes, cemeteries, the Chemin des Dames, the ruins of Vendresse, Soissons, Folembray, etc… followed by ‘Photographs taken in Champagne in July–September 1918 in the Butte du Mesnil sector, Beaséjour farm, Main de Massiges (…) ’ (trenches, shelters, scenes of life at the front, etc.) followed by photos of ‘German guns destroyed by our preparatory fire and captured by us’, ‘Some types of Krauts’, ‘Troops entering Colmar’, etc. … Some moisture, but a good copy. Second album in the same vein from 1917, also set in the Vosges, with numerous views of the theatre of operations. A good copy; small size (mainly visiting-card format).
