1- ‘(…) Sir Jacques-Claude-Marie Vincent, honorary councillor of the Grand Council (…) Lord and Marquis of Gournay, Neuvy, Marigny, Mareuil, Dury, Lamotte, etc… [funeral] which will take place today, Thursday 28 June 1759, at seven o’clock in the evening at St Roch’s Church, his parish, where he will be laid to rest”.
Large engraved mourning initial, fine example (trimmed margins). Dimensions: 20 x 34 cm
2- ‘You are kindly requested to attend the funeral procession and burial of Florent-Jacques Lepot D’Auteuil, squire and barrister at the Parliament (…) on Monday 1 March 1784 at six o’clock in the evening at St Roch’s Church, his parish, where he will be laid to rest’.
Large engraved mourning initial; with an old restoration on the reverse, otherwise a fine copy. Dimensions: 48 x 59.5 cm.
