Description
Louis XVI – A duplicate of the letters of naturalisation issued to Charles Sébastien Antoine Ferrero Fieschi, Marquis de Crèvecœur, a cadet in an Italian company in the service of Charles III of Spain, and married to Adélaïde de Béthune. The Marquis de Crèvecœur received these letters patent, which would allow him and his wife to reside outside the Kingdom of France whilst continuing to enjoy all their property. The document is signed by Louis (secretary) and countersigned by Antoine-Jean Amelot de Chaillou (1732–1795), Secretary of State for the King’s Household [also a member of the Académie française], and Armand Thomas Hue, Marquis de Mirosmesnil (1723–1796), Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals.
