Pierre MENDES-FRANCE (1907–1982), politician, Minister for the Economy in General de Gaulle’s Provisional Government (1943–1945), President of the Council (1954), minister on several occasions, President of the F.M.I. (1948). Renowned economist. A leading moral figure of the French left. Set of 10 typewritten letters (1950s–1960s), on letterhead from the Council (4), the National Assembly (3), or bearing his name (2), signed by him (2) or his colleagues (on his behalf). Enclosed is a typescript: 1° – Paper on international monetary reform and underdeveloped countries (1965), 11 pages. In fine condition. Appraisal carried out by Pascal GUILLEBAUD.
