A model of the American tugboat US ST 488, made from lacquered wood, with a detailed deck featuring its fittings and accessories, mounted on a black-lacquered base. A fine piece of amateur craftsmanship. 48 x 96 x 20 cm Built in Brooklyn in May 1944, it was actually 26 metres long and played a part in the restoration of the destroyed port of Le Havre until October 1946.
