Important set of Tuareg jewellery Sub-Sahara, Niger, 19th-20th century In silver or silver-plated metal, chased, nielloed or openwork, comprising a "tawinast" cross, a pair of "tizabaten" or "tasabit ta n tamezzuk" earrings, a pair of "tanfuk" pendants, a pair of "ahbeg" brass anklets and three "takaza" beaded necklaces from three regions (Laya, Aïr and Azawagh). Dim: 8.5 to 4.5 cm; (Approx. 3.3 to 1.8 in.).
