Opaque and gold pigments on paper, mounted on an album page. The composition depicts a bird perched on the stem of a rosebush in bloom, executed with great naturalistic care, on an entirely gilded background, framed by polychrome fillets and wide margins (modern) in marbled paper. Signed and dated.
