Suzani of Tashkent Central Asia, Uzbekistan, late 19th century Silk embroidery on six orange cotton lais decorated with a radiating floral composition and four round flowers in the spandrels. The ensemble is bordered by three registers of plant friezes alternating with one of floral bouquets. Size 230 x 204 cm (90.6 x 80.3 in.) Exhibition : Flowering Gardens Along the Silk Road.
