Persia, 17th century
A fine steel powder flask with a characteristic drop-shaped profile, ending in a curved swan-neck spout and a tubular neck; the smooth body, punctuated by two longitudinal ribs, is decorated on the side with a motif in relief; the push-button dosing mechanism, which is still functional, is mounted on a gilded steel plate with koftgari, decorated with finely incised floral scrolls and enhanced with gold; the carefully forged suspension lugs complete the set.
Condition: beautiful old patina on the steel; slight surface oxidation; mechanism in working order.
