Ottoman Empire, 18th century
Copper with finely chased decoration, organised in several concentric registers; in the centre, a rosette with interlacing lanceolate leaves; around it, four large vases with almond-shaped flowers alternate with trees with branched stems bearing rosette-shaped flowers and pomegranates, the field sown with small scattered floral motifs; the border is decorated with a frieze of chevrons and alternating geometric motifs. Beautiful old dark brown patina.
