Ⓛ Dala'il al-Khayrat - Prayer book copied by Ismail Yasari Zadeh
Ottoman Empire, Turkey, mid-18th century
Arabic manuscript on paper, 100 leaves, 11 lines per page copied in naskh script in black ink, verses separated by gold rosettes punctuated with red and blue dots, all within gold and black filleted frames, titles in white on gold and polychrome illuminated panels.
The opening bifolium features an illuminated and polychrome frontispiece above the text, accompanied by margins decorated with gilded floral scrolls.
The work includes two illustrations of the Nabawi Mihrab and the Rawda al-Sharifa.
Bound in gilt-stamped brown leather with flap.
Panel 11.5 x 5.4 cm (4.5 x 2.1 in.); leaf 16.5 x 9.7 cm (6.5 x 3.8 in.)

The colophon indicates that this prayer book was copied by Ismail Yasari Zadeh, a pupil of Huseyin known as Hafafzadeh (cf. Derman, 2017, p. 306). Another prayer book by the same calligrapher, dated 1756, was sold at Euvrard & Fabre, Paris, 24 November 2020, lot 412.
