(1900-2) Rectangular shaped soft bag in dark leather with a heavy patina, fitted with a flap closed by a simple strap and buckle system. Both sides are decorated with a large multi-lobed cartouche in red leather, applied and sewn, embroidered with an inscription. 27 x 30 cm (10.6 x 11.8 in.) Inscribed To Emine Hanim, wife of Sipahi Abdullah Lutfi Efendi, the author of the petition who died in Madina al-Munawwara. Year 1319 (1901-2)." "To Ali Sabri Bey, esteemed secretary of Kalkandelenli Shaykh Mustafa Ruhi Efendi at the Imperial Secretariat (Mabeyn-i Hümayun).
