In the courtyard of a palace, a prince consults, while a groom brings into the courtyard the horse richly equipped with a beautiful golden saddle; two guards stand in front of the palace gates; the royal guard - whose armour evokes a Sikh regiment - spreads out along the ramparts; behind the palace, the gardens and trees of the park complete the composition.
