Pierre SOULAGES BAUME & MERCIER watch. Hampton model wristwatch: ‘A tribute to Pierre Soulages on his 102nd birthday’. Stainless steel case with DLC coating, mounted on a black nubuck alligator strap with a pin buckle. Automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve, water-resistant to 5 metres. Limited edition of 102 numbered pieces. The laser-cut brass dial features stones from the Levant to create a diffuse matt effect, and has been colour-coated via electroplating, finished with a layer of matt clear lacquer, inspired by the painting *Outrenoir* on display at the Soulages Museum in Rodez. Presented in a case that also pays homage to the contemporary architecture of the Soulages Museum, designed by the Catalan firm RCR Architects, winners of the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 2017. We are offering watch number xx/102 for sale. Brand new in its box with packaging carton, invoice, booklet, documentation, a VIP access card to the museum in Rodez for two people for life, and a book on the painter’s work. Reference: only 96 pieces were produced, two retained by the family, two others for the museum and finally two retained by Baume & Mercier. 102 pieces were produced in tribute to the painter’s birthday on 24 December 2021.
