Gabriel VIARDOT (1830-1906) (Attributed to) High GUERIDON forming a side table in natural wood and wood veneer, of Indochinese inspiration, the top with inverted curved edges inlaid with geometric motifs supported on one side by two legs joined by a short shelf and another supporting an openwork column on which climbs an ormolu lizard. The top is supported by a shelf whose waist opens to a small drawer flanked by openwork Greek carvings. Late 19th century (the sides of the drawer need to be planed to allow for a smooth drawer runner). 94 x 57 x 38.5 cm
